  The State Key Laboratory has jointly established the "Precision Forging Technology Research and Development Center"; The company is the Advanced Plastic Forming Process Verification Base of the General Research Institute of Mechanical Science and Technology of Beijing, and the off-campus practice base of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Jointly approved by the Ministry of Education and other 23 departments, in June,2012. China Machinery Industry Federation approved the establishment of the sixth batch of mechanical industry engineering (technology) research centers and Machinery Industry Precision Forging Engineering Technology Research Center In 2016. Constructed a national level engineering practice education center and keep a close industry-study-research cooperation relationships with Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Wuhan University of Technology, Beijing Mechanical Science Research Institute and others, which forms a technology innovation system integrated with technology research and development, achievement transformation, and industry-study-research cooperation.


 Mr. Xia Hanguan, the chairman of the company and the director of the technology center, is the State Council "Special Government Allowance" expert, Jiangsu Province Outstanding Contribution Expert, Jiangsu Province Model Worker, Jiangsu Province's First Batch of Industry Professors, Jiangsu Province Outstanding Entrepreneur, and serves as member of the National Forging Standardization Technical Committee and the Automotive Transmission Sub-committee of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee, won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of the National Technology Invention Award, and the first prize of the Jiangsu Science and Technology Award. The R&D team center currently has 2 provincial high-level innovative and entrepreneurial talents, 3 Outstanding contribution experts of Jiangsu Province, 3 training objects in the “333 High-level Talent Cultivation Project” in Jiangsu Province, and 6 training objects in the “311 High-level Talent Cultivation Project” in Taizhou City, 2 Outstanding contribution experts of Taizhou City, a young and middle-aged scientific and technical worker with outstanding contribution in Jiangyan District.


  In recent years, the Technology Center has undertaken and completed more than 10 national projects, Major Science and Technology Special Project - "High-grade CNC Machine Tools and Basic Manufacturing Equipment", Key Projects of Technology Innovation Fund for Small and Medium-sized Technology Enterprises, National Torch Program Projects, National Key New Product Program Projects, Jiangsu Province science and technology achievements transformation funds project, Jiangsu Province science and technology support plan projects, etc.


   PPF owns a management system covering a whole process from tooling design, manufacture, usage, service and whole-process recycle, equipped with a whole-process 3D CAD/CAE/CAM/CMM designing, manufacturing and numerical technology applications, PPF can improve new product development capacity and shorten development period. The usage of ERP, MES information applications in tooling workshop guarantees traced quality information and on-time delivery, meanwhile, tooling production processes is continuously optimized and production costs can be additionally reduced. At the same time, PPF actively participates in the continuous improvement and process optimization of tooling, focus on application service and tooling recycling, aiming at reducing production cost; PPF pursues making full use of advantages of production technology and manufacturing process, insisting on quality leadership, providing first-class quality tooling products, strengthening quality management and control ability, which provides an important means of technical management to achieve enterprises lean manufacturing and to significantly improve business management and operational efficiency, so that market competitiveness of enterprises can be enhanced.

 Tooling Manufacturing flow chart: Drawing release, establish tooling production process, ERP maintenance, MES basic data. Tooling manufacturing and inspection guided by process flow chart, process inspection card, in-process inspection card and finished tooling inspection card. PPF processes advanced manufacturing equipment, totally 26 sets, incl. for example full automatic sawing, ordinary turning machine, normal milling machine, radial drilling machine, digital-controlled grinding machine, numerically controlled lathe ect, with aids of which rough machining and finish machining before or after HT can be realized.

  Furthermore, High- and low temperature annealing furnace, vacuum heat treatment furnace, vacuum oil & gas quenching furnace can meet various heat treatment processes. In addition, PPF has advanced precision machining centers, including 5 five-axis high-speed milling machining centers, 20 three-axis high-speed milling machining centers, 20 precision electrical processing equipments, 6 slow wire & fast wire cutting equipments, piercing machines and tools Pre-tune instrument , which are imported from Switzerland, Germany, Japan, the United States, by this full range of high precision equipment production of electrode, warm forging dies, sizing tooling fixture and complex products can be achieved. Surface heat treatment facilities includes ion nitriding furnace, PVT, etc., can improve surface hardness, wear resistance, fatigue resistance, thereby enhance the life time of the tooling.


 PTD owns 115 pcs of authorized patents, among which 4 pcs of PCT international patents,30 pcs of national invention patents, 81 pcs of utility model patents. PPF published 35 papers (including 11 core journals, 1 theme report in the 18th World forging conference, 1 reading paper in the 3rd Asia forging Conference)
